Sunshine Law

The Missouri Sunshine Law provides that a public governmental body is to appoint
a custodian to maintain that body’s records and the identity and location of the
custodian is to be made available upon request; sets forth that a public governmental
body shall provide access to and, upon request, furnish copies of public records; and
provides that a public governmental body shall provide a reasonable written policy
regarding the release of information on any meeting, record or vote.  

Policy #872
is the District’s written Sunshine Law policy. The District’s current
Custodian of Records
is Kendra Laudenslager and is located at 1702 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri 64126-3016.
The Custodian of Records responds to requests for access to or copies of a public
record according to the Sunshine Law. The fees charged for access to or furnishing
copies of records is 10 cents per page, plus an hourly fee for duplicating time.
It is the public policy of the District that meetings, records, votes, actions and
deliberations of the Board of Directors
are open to the public unless otherwise provided by law.

Radio Information

The District uses radios as an integral part of it’s operation. The District is
dispatched by American Medical Response (AMR). Below is information
about the District’s fire ground radio frequency.

Meetings of the Board of Directors

Meetings of the Inter City Fire Protection District Board of Directors are held at 1702 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Blue Summit, Missouri, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month. Agendas for the meetings are posted at the fire station in advance according to the Missouri Sunshine Law.

Finances

The Board of Directors elects a Treasurer and selects an auditor. The Board approves an annual budget,
the Treasurer prepares monthly reports for the Board (click on any month below), and the auditor prepares annual financial reports for the District. To view the Treasurer’s Report or bank statements, including cancelled checks, for any particular month, click on the name of the month below.

For prevention of fraud, the bank statements and cancelled checks have been redacted of the following information:  bank account and bank routing numbers if the account is still open; personal information written on the face of cancelled checks by a teller, such as a driver’s license or date of birth; personal addresses; and merchant account numbers. ......
